The Challenge

Build training hardware that feels like a real extinguisher — including weight, grip, and spray motion — while streaming pose and trigger data to a PC-based simulation for classroom and enterprise training.

Our Approach

Industrial design for the handheld form factor, embedded Bluetooth module with IMU for orientation tracking, custom firmware for low-latency data streaming, and a Unity integration layer for the client's simulation software.

Tech Stack

  • • BLE module with custom GATT profile
  • • 6-axis IMU for pose and spray-angle detection
  • • Trigger and pressure-style input mapping
  • • 3D printed / molded structural prototypes
  • • Unity SDK for PC-side integration
  • • Firmware tuned for training-session battery life

Outcome

Sample-stage units delivered for integration testing — enabling the client to validate hardware–software coupling before scaling to a pilot batch for training deployments.
